2010-11 ECNL San Antonio All-Event Teams Announced RICHMOND, Va (April 14, 2011)- The Elite Clubs National League announced the All-Event Teams from the ECNL San Antonio Event, which was held March 4-6, 2011 in San Antonio, Texas. A total of 110 teams from 32 clubs participated in the event, which took place at the STAR Soccer Complex in San Antonio. The ECNL All-Event Teams are selected based upon nominations from coaches and scouts based upon individual and team performances over the course of the 3 game event. At the ECNL San Antonio Event, 13 clubs placed at least a pair of players on All-Event Teams, including four players each from Minnesota Thunder and SC Del Sol, as a total of 21 different clubs were represented among the 44 honored players. The final event of the 2010-11 ECNL regular season, the ECNL PDA College Showcase, will take place May 28-30, 2011 in Zarepheth, NJ. As the final national event in the 2010-11 ECNL regular season, competition will be fierce as teams fight for places in the Championship Groups at the ECNL National Championship, for an opportunity for promotion into Challenge A for the 2011-12 season, or to avoid relegation. The 2010-2011 ECNL National Championships will take place July 14-16, 2011 in Aurora, Colorado. While all teams in the U-15 through U-17 age groups participate in the ECNL National Championships, it is only the top eight teams in Challenge A in each of the four age groups that earn a spot in the coveted Championship Groups. The races are equally tight at the top of the Challenge B standings, where the top 2 teams after the regular season in the U-15 through U-17 age groups will automatically be promoted to Challenge A for 2011-2012, and the third and fourth place teams will be placed into the Promotion/Relegation Groups at the National Championships with the 23rd and 24th place teams from Challenge A. ECNL standings at all age groups are available on the ECNL website. 2010-11 ECNL San Antonio All-Event Teams
The ECNL is sanctioned by US Club Soccer and sponsored by Nike.
