Bob Taylor has been coaching soccer for the past 14 years and has also coached hockey for 5 years, and sailing for 2 years. He has been with the Sting Soccer Club for 10 years and coached many of the Sting Dallas teams. He coached STING DALLAS '86 and STING DALLAS White '87 teams from 2001-2005; the STING DALLAS '90 team from 1999-2002; and the STING DALLAS Royal '91 team from 2003-2006. He attended the University of Rhode Island and currently holds a USSF National D License.

Bob Taylor has a daughter playing soccer at Rice University who made all conference. He used to be very involved in sailing and won a National Championship in the J36 class and sailed on the Grand Prix Circuit in the One Ton class. His coaching philosophy is demand their best and help them achieve it.
