Joey Kennington moved here fall 2009 from Tulsa, OK. He was coached by Alan Woodward, a 16 year veteran & top goal scorer in England's top division for Sheffield United and trained by Keith Eddy, who captained Pele & Giorgio Chinaglia on the NY Cosmos as well as playing for Watford and Sheffield United before managing the Toronto Blizzard (NASL). Joey is 25 years old and began his coaching career assisting at age 16. By age 17, he was invited to play in exhibition matches with El Paso Patriots 'A' League” (USL) squad. By the age of 19, he became the Director of Coaching for West Side Alliance Academy and coached Charles Page High School men’s varsity along with u15, u12, u8, and u7 boy’s teams for West Side Alliance. His teams played in the top tier of the Oklahoma Premier League (equivalent to Dallas Classic League 1) and Oklahoma Development Academy League (equivalent to SDL). He played in high school for Bixby H.S. and the Tulsa Roughnecks Moreover, he played division 1 soccer for Oral Roberts University where he was a regular starter as a freshman before injury and continued playing after recovery for the Tulsa Roughnecks & Oklahoma Falcons FC.
